ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Amal Varghese, a passionate learner of economics. I am currently a Master’s candidate in Economics at Yonsei University in South Korea under the prestigious Global Leader Fellowship. My current interests primarily lie in monetary policy economics and environmental economics.

I earned my Bachelor’s (Honors) in Economics from the University of Delhi, graduating with first division honours and receiving the Best Student of the Class of 2024 award. During my studies, I presented my research at the South Asian Economics Students Meet hosted in collaboration with the World Bank, and have another paper forthcoming. Beyond academics, I led the Ramjas Economic Review as Editor-in-Chief and served as Director of Project Swabun at Enactus Ramjas.

When I’m not immersed in economics, you’ll find me engaged in creative writing, or binge-watching dramas or roaming wherever curiosity leads . Always up for a great conversation, whether it’s about economics, creativity, or just life!
